3D Areola Tattoo includes 2 techniques:

3D Areola Reconstruction Tattoo

This is a special technique using semi-permanent makeup that creates a realistic image of an areola and a nipple for breast cancer survivors (Uni or Bi-lateral Mastectomies).
The 3-D nipple or Areola tattoo is a work of art that looks like an authentic nipple. Shading, shadows and other artistic skills make the tattoos look just like real nipples, and helps patients feel confident in their breasts once again. The inks used for nipple tattooing are mixed to create the most realistic appearance possible for each patient.

Most often 3d Areola Reconstruction tattoo done in combination with Scar Revision treatments which minimizes the appearance of surgical scars after a Mastectomy or Breast Reconstruction, the final results are Hyper-Realistic Areolas and healthy smooth skin. Scar Revision Treatments help with even color retention in areola tattooing.

Psychological effects of mastectomy for a man

A man’s self-image can also be affected by the appearance of his chest and areolas. Restoring the natural look of his areolas through the healing art of areola tattooing provides a sense of “normalcy” for a man after a mastectomy or gynecomastia.
